How does it Work
There are acrylic pucks are used in contact on the surface to manipulate the sound. A cube placed on the surface lights up to give visual feedback to the user that it has been recognized.

The significance of the blocks is that each puck has different kinds of sounds and different sets of audio effects. The tangible objects have no effect outside the interactive surface area. To track the objects, the Table uses a system called ReacTIVision, an open-sourced computer vision framework. It tracks the fiducial markers on the tangible objects and the finger interactions.

Under the surface, there is infrared light to illuminate the surface. The reacTIVision system receives the images from the camera then searches through the footage (frame by frame) for fiducial symbols where that information is then passed to the connection manager.
Camera and the projector are connected to the computer and through musical interface software; each fiducial number can be assigned to different sound music or effect channel.

The size of the fiducials will be given by the conditions previously calculated as it directly is affected by the distance of the projector at the bottom.
The fiducials are printed in black ink and be laminated afterwards, then glued to the surface of an object with different shapes. They have to be big enough to be visible to your camera, considering the distance they are.
If the acrylics are translucent the light will pierce and have a better and nice effect.
Ensure the thickness of the object is good enough for maneuverability.
I used 5mm acrylic Perspex shape cut to size.
